Outdoor Range

The outdoor range sits on approx. 80 acres of beautifully wooded leased land. There is a clubhouse, picnic tables, fire pits, playground equipment, and room for RV parking.  Outdoor shooting on the static range and 3D loops is available year round. In summer, three 3D loops are open that vary in size from 3.5-5 km in length, and in the winter one 3D loop is maintained. Traditional and Compound Bows only – No Crossbows or Broadheads.

Be aware of Skunks!

On Saturday July 6/19, a family of skunks was noticed nesting under the white metal shed near the picnic area.  Please take precautions, and keep dogs and children away from this area to avoid getting sprayed.  Pink duct tape has been posted on the shed.

Be aware of wildlife at Outdoor Range

On the weekend of our 3D shoot, an Antelope 3D target in A loop was “attacked” by what would appear to be a cougar based on claw/bite marks.  We want to remind members that wildlife is always present at the outdoor range, and to be careful in that regards.

Range Clean Up

We are in the process of cleaning up the range and getting rid of a lot of old garbage.  A huge “Thank You” to Lyle at Calahoo Waste for accommodating our needs and providing the necessary dumpsters for us to use on short notice!

Club History

Parkland Bowbenders was founded in the early 1970’s after the previous club known as the Glory Hills Archery Club folded.Over the years, Parkland Bowbenders Archery Club has gained the reputation of being one of the strongest and most progressive clubs in the greater Edmonton area. We host many events and provide options for young and old alike to experience traditional archery, archery as a sport, practice for bow hunting and recreation for the whole family.
