Outdoor Range

The outdoor range sits on approx. 80 acres of beautifully wooded leased land. There is a clubhouse, picnic tables, fire pits, playground equipment, and room for RV parking.  Outdoor shooting on the static range and 3D loops is available year round. In summer, three 3D loops are open that vary in size from 3.5-5 km in length, and in the winter one 3D loop is maintained. Traditional and Compound Bows only – No Crossbows or Broadheads.

Range Work October 4, 2020

Sunday October 4 is the day we will be taking down our three 3D loops and setting up our Winter 3D loop. Target maintenance on the static range will also be performed, by rotating targets and replacing tarps. Volunteers welcome! Meet at 9 a.m.

Road Update

As of June 10, the road into the range is now OPEN for use! Please note: the road may need to be closed temporarily due to excess water runoff from rain or other circumstances to help prevent significant damage from occurring. If a sign is posted on the gate, please access the range by foot.

Members use Caution – Moose at Range!

On May 23rd a newborn calf moose and cow moose were seen on “C” loop. The cow moose was not impressed with the member and their dog which thankfully was on a leash. Members are advised to use caution while at the range, keep a close watch over their children and make sure their dogs

Because of COVID-19 restrictions, members are advised to maintain proper social distancing, bring their own hand sanitizer, and use gloves when handling the gate and lock.

Club History

Parkland Bowbenders was founded in the early 1970’s after the previous club known as the Glory Hills Archery Club folded.Over the years, Parkland Bowbenders Archery Club has gained the reputation of being one of the strongest and most progressive clubs in the greater Edmonton area. We host many events and provide options for young and old alike to experience traditional archery, archery as a sport, practice for bow hunting and recreation for the whole family.
