Parkland Bowbender Volunteer Position Descriptions
Position: Range Director
Overview:
The Range Director plays a vital role in maintaining the archery range and ensuring a safe, enjoyable environment for all members. This position involves managing a dedicated team of volunteers (the range committee) to oversee maintenance tasks and enhancements to the range.
Time Commitment:
This position has a large time fluctuation to accommodate club needs during archery season. The busiest time is May – September with a 1 – 6 hour requirement weekly during these months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management
- Range Maintenance: Oversee regular maintenance tasks including:
- Course Set Up
- Target Insert Replacement
- Range Maintenance
- Waste Management
- Equipment Maintenance
- Safety Compliance
- Event Support
- Communication
While the Range Director is responsible to coordinate overall range maintenance, they will delegate coordination and implementation of many maintenance activities to members of the Range Committee.

Position: Membership Director
Overview:
The Membership Director is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of membership for Parkland Bowbenders, ensuring accurate recording of our membership, timely communication with applicants, and confirmation of payment.
Time Commitment:
This position has a large time fluctuation to accommodate club needs during peak membership periods. The busiest time is March to May with a 2 – 6 hour requirement weekly during these months. There is only a 0 – 2 hour requirement weekly for the rest of the year. This position is entirely remote.

Additional:
- Ensure the gate lock code is changed January 1st of each year.
- Work with the Marketing Director to have the annual membership card created.

Position: Marketing Director
Overview: This role is vital for managing the image of Parkland Bowbenders. The Marketing Director is responsible for managing the club’s public presence, both online and offline, and working closely with other members to ensure cohesive communication. This includes promoting the club’s events and programs. The main role of the Membership Director is to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all platforms.
Time Commitment:
This position has a large time fluctuation to accommodate club needs.The busiest time is May – August when we have active events and programs. During the busy time there is a time commitment of approximately 3-8 hours per week.

- Social Media Management
- Website Management
- Photography & Visuals
- Promotional Materials
- Signage Management
- Mass Email Coordination
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms.
- Experience in content creation, graphic design, and website management.
- Proficiency in tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
- Passion for archery and the ability to convey that passion through creative and engaging content.

Position: Range Committee
Overview:
The Range Committee is responsible for maintaining the archery range as a whole to create an enjoyable environment for all members. This position has delegated tasks managed by the Range Director.
Time Commitment:
This position has a large time fluctuation to accommodate club needs during archery season. The busiest time is May – September with a 1 – 6 hour requirement weekly during these months.

Individual Range Committee members are not responsible for completing all tasks outlined, rather they may only do a few tasks or a small portion of all tasks.
